Model FAP 1.5-3-150-1.5 CA-7

The Model CA-7 fluidflo® Automatic Catalyst Addition Unit is provided with a Programmable Controller and usually requires the use of an Operator Interface Terminal or Distributed Control System for Remote Operations.

Throught the OIT or DCS an entry is made to set either the Tons per Day or Pounds per Day (24 hour period) requirement to establish the Catalyst Addition Rate. The PLC establishes the Batch Weight per Addition, Time Interval Between Additions, and Number of Cycles. Batch Weight, Current Catalyst Weight Totalization, "Day of the Week" Catalyst Weight Totals (Sunday through Saturday), Number of Additions, Alarm Monitoring, etc., to the OIT / DCS.

Some Model CA-7 Units are provided with a Local Mode of Operation (in addition to Remote Operations) that allows an operator to set the Catalyst Batch Weight and Time Between Additions at the unit. This option allows operation of the Catalyst Addition Unit until the interface between the Unit and the OIT / DCS is complete. Operation of the Model CA-7 Unit in the Local Mode requires the use of the PLC.
